Creation Process
I’m in the process of a pretty special project for a new little person in my extended family. She is due in a few months, and I have a pretty good start on a special collection of fabric just for her. It has a sky theme with a twist of “Where the Wild Things Are.” I haven’t yet made it public on Spoonflower. One of the designs I made for her was a more simple version of this sky pattern. For the challenge, I added a little more sparkle, as challenge designs do better when they’re pretty eye-catching.
As you watch the Timelapse below, you may notice some other designs flash across the screen. I was referencing colors and comparing designs to make sure they all went nicely together for the collection. So I guess those can be considered sneak peaks! 😄
I started out with a textured background that I created for a different design. Then I drew the moon, worked on the dark background, getting a nice glow behind the moons. This was followed by many, many stars. Lastly, I added some comets for extra pizazz. There are two videos, as the design process was interrupted. Hope you enjoy!

Voting
Voting opens on Thursday, July 27th and runs til the following Tuesday. Thanks for considering voting for me! It sure takes a lot of votes to make top ten! A couple weeks ago, I made my FIRST top ten with my silly slug pattern, and it was SO VERY exciting! I really appreciate every single vote. That pattern got over 200 votes!
