Design Process
Vintage sportswear is the name of the game this week for Spoonflower’s weekly fabric design challenge! I took my inspiration from those bold windbreakers worn in the 90’s. Remember those??
Yeah, you know you had one. Oh, that hot pink, purple and teal combo just brings it all back. I didn’t want to go full on vintage though. I wanted it to still have a little of me in the design. I had a design that I thought might fit. I made it to go with my Hellebore fabric. It had the geometric, structured vibe I was going for. I painted it on procreate with a lovely, muted palette, so for this 90’s design, I just changed the colors around a bit…Ok, a lot. Here’s a time lapse vid, so you can enjoy the process.
Voting
I enter these contests each week to increase visibility for my Spoonflower Fabric shop. It’s a lot of work, but it’s the best way I know to get the word out without social media. I’m still avoiding social media for my own sanity! So, each week that you vote for my design is HUGELY appreciated. THANK YOU!! If you’d like to take the time to vote, click the link below.
