Process
I actually made this design for the challenge from two weeks ago, but it didn’t quite pop enough for that one. However, I really loved it, so I tweaked it a bit and went for it! This design came about after my mom went walking in the field across from my house and took a picture of the smoky hills. We have wildfires around us up here in Idaho. I think the smoke is coming from some bigger fires in Washington. The hills are a subtle blue under the blanket of smoke. Here’s the inspiration picture.

Next, you can watch the Timelapse of my design process. You’ll see I really wavered on wether to make the clouds realistic or representative. The members of my household voted that the more realistic looked better overall. I think it makes for a mellow bedroom addition. I hear that “cabin-core” is the new “cottage-core,” so feel free to order it for your rustic mountain cabin guesthouse bedding.

Voting
Due to the subtle colors in this design, I’m guessing it won’t grab the eyes of the voters, but I would still LOVE your vote, if you have time! It’s a design I’d enjoy seeing around my home, so it meets my goals, even if it doesn’t place high in the challenge. Vote by clicking the button below.
