The Barkitecture Design Challenge on spoonflower this week is once again outside my design passion. They want people to design wallpaper for pets. 😆 Is that really a trend? Are we really decorating entire rooms for our animals now? Well, I went for something light that a human might enjoy too. My design features songbirds on a summery sherbet color palette.
Process
I wanted to incorporate some sweet little birds that my 12 year old daughter painted. I ended up using silhouettes of the birds for the light, summery feel. But I plan to make a different design in the future that features these cuties. You can see what I mean in the short time lapse video below.
I’m not the type of person to wallpaper my home for a cat or a dog, but hopefully this design catches the eye of the voters.
